We understand every coach, team, and program not only have different needs, but also have different time constraints. While our curriculum is intended to be flexible and fully customizable, we have put together some suggestions on the best practices of implementation based on how much time you have per week/day. This can change between on and off seasons, or at different times of the year depending on your program. Always do what works best for you and your athletes!
How to Login & Access Content
Members of 2Words Character Development will be able to view and access our content by signing in through the members portal. Once inside your account, all videos and content available to your district will be accessible through your dashboard. From your account you will also be able to change your password and updated your personal information, such as your name and what sport(s) you are involved in.
How to Have Parents Register
2Words has made our curriculum viewable to parents of any athlete involved in our program. Parents will use a designated link and access code, provided to you (the coaches) from our team, to create a parent account. We have also provided you with a sample parent letter that you can send out to parents to introduce the program and provide them with the necessary instructions.
Workbook Overview
Our workbooks consist of 6 pages each week. This includes a cover page with quotes of the week and a weekly content overview. The other 4 pages are the weekly content for: Coaches, Captains, Athletes, and Parents.
Admin Data Tracking
School and District Administrators can view and track coaches and sports activity and interaction with the curriculum. This video will show you all the features of the administrators dashboard. We hope you will utilize this feature to hold your coaches accountable to using the 2Words curriculum.
How to Download Content
We understand that sometimes school servers might block your ability to view videos directly from the website, or you might be in a location without wi-fi. We have provided a few solutions for you to download content and use for off-line use.
Schoology
2Words is striving to integrate with all of the best platforms available. We believe utilizing Schoology could be a great tool for coaches, schools, and districts. Schoology gives 2Words the ability to set up the course and for you to simply “copy” the course into your account. This will save you hours of your planning and coaching time – instead of downloading and uploading the content yourself to one of the other LMS platforms, we hope you will use these extra hours to continue building relationships with your athletes! This video and article walk you through the steps of setting up an account and creating a course to get the most out of 2Words integration with Schoology.
Integrating with Remind
2Words is striving to integrate with all of the tools you are already using with your parents and athletes. Remind is a great tool to communicate directly and quickly with your parents. This video will show you how to attach files on Remind so you can keep your parents in the loop and up to date on what is happening with the 2Words Curriculum.
