In this session, Mackey teaches on the story of Naaman out of 2 Kings 5, so grab your PB&J (that’s pen, Bible, and journal) and let’s invite the Spirit to speak to us and our hearts to be softened to listen.

Leaders worth following CARE for their team mates. They seek to know, love, and serve those who follow them. This is our call as leaders; HOWEVER, we cannot give to others what we do not have ourselves. We must care for ourselves alongside of others.
This session is about inner health. First up, former NFL tackle Ryan Young takes on Leadership and Mental Health with his message entitled “It is O.K. to NOT be O.K.” Then Catherine Davis teaches on the integrity of Daniel. Finally Paige Pulford guides us in how to have an impactful and sustainable quiet time.
Don’t neglect yourself in service of others. Leaders who are worth following play the LONG GAME and lead well far beyond the sport they excel in.

In SESSION 8, Colton Leonard takes us through his story, highlighting 3 ENEMIES that destroy the IMPACT we are seeking to make as leaders. Then Mike Warren shares his testimony and Dan Bellamy GOES IN on John the Baptist. Here’s a quote, “It’s NOT ABOUT YOU. How SWEET it is to gather around a passage of scripture and allow it to influence our hearts and actions. In SESSION 9, we do just that! BOTH Mackeys plus Luke Turpin gather around John 6 where Jesus Feeds 5000. The topics discussed are wide-ranging, from praying for others to arriving at the end of ourselves (Jack Mackey even makes a cameo appearance!!). Each person walks away grateful for having shared time together in scripture. We encourage you to do the same! Gather a few folks and see if the Bible doesn’t surprise you with something new!

So you’re a leader…NOW what? Do you chase the titles, the accolades, the praise of others, OR do you get after the WORK of becoming a LEADER WORTH FOLLOWING. Don’t settle for being comparatively great; “better than that guy or girl”. Instead, be driven to greatness by your integrity. This message shared by Mackey at Houston’s First Baptist Church is INVALUABLE to all leaders seeking to GROW.

Social media has changed the way we LIVE and LEAD. In our FINAL SESSION, we share an insightful portion of “Coaching to Change Lives”, a program designed by our friend Clint Rutledge to help coaches LEVEL UP. Clint addresses the effects of social media usage on our brain chemistry and supplies us with tools to help harness the power of our phones rather than be controlled by them. THEN, Michelle Taylor speaks candidly about the negative effects of gossip on teams and gives us tactics to fight against it.
And just like that, we reach the end of Virtual Camp 2020. But don’t miss Mackey’s outro, where he gives you 3 action steps:
1. Print / Download and utilize your camp journal. We put SO MANY resources in there.
2. Apply for Leadership Camp in January. The price of admission is $0! But you must submit your application, plus 39 takeaways (Big 3 x 13 sessions) in writing. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE: https://form.jotform.com/2Words/mackeyleadershipcamp
3. If there is anything we can do to help you, DON’T HESITATE to reach out: Mackey@tier1leadership.com
